I found the CSpan interview/book signing conversation very interesting. In fact, I tried to sign onto Amazon tonight to buy the book… it has been so long, the password escapes me, so I will contact them Monday.
Just saw a repeat of your book tv talk. The one question I wanted you to address that was not answered was “Why should we care what the founding fathers would think? Things have changed a lot. Nothing you said on the show convinced me that their beliefs, actions or intentions of 230+ years ago have any relevance today.
And there you go. The Bible says, “for him who has ears, let him hear.” Some people will not accept any amount of evidence because they just too pig headed.
Having paid the tuition for my daughter at U of D, I was delighted to see at least one example of a top quality prof. I only hope she was fortunate enough to catch one of your classes. At any rate, she’s not a screaming liberal. None of my four are, not even the graduate of DePaul!

How did we “survive” so long w/o income tax? and how could we survive w/o it now?

We could survive with any tax system—Fair Tax, value added tax. I personally favor the income tax, but at a very, very low flat rate of 15%.
