Update on Rockin’ the Wall

Thursday, January 7th, 2010

Our film, “Rockin’ the Wall,” has officially begun production. We will initiate our first shooting Monday with European star Leslie Mandoki, a Hungarian refugee who has an amazing story of escaping communism to become a major musical star in Europe. The following week, we will be in Los Angeles filming, among others, Robby Krieger of the Doors and Jimmy Haslip of the Yellowjackets, along with Hollywood composer and score writer, John Van Tongeren. John, I should mention, was in a band with me briefly and was a kick-ass organist.

It’s an exciting project, and in the coming weeks we will have a separate website for “Rockin’ the Wall,” and, after about April 15, a four or five-minute trailer.

Oh, on another matter, one business writer has named American Entrepreneur the best business book of 2009. And, don’t forget, Seven Events that Made America America, from which “Rockin’ the Wall” is taken, will appear in bookstores in July!

Music, sweet music. Mother taught my two sisters and me to jitterbug when we were but 4, 5, and 6 years old. The four of us had so much fun dancing together through the years. One sis ultimately listed left–but, folks, just goes to show that even an occasional liberal has rhythm. Best of luck, Larry. This sounds like so much fun.

Larry, this sounds like a thrilling project, and I believe the impact will be greater than initially anticipated. I’m looking forward to seeing the film, and hearing the “behind the scenes” stories! Hope to talk with you soon!
